Total War: Warhammer II is a great example of what can be achieved with the DirectX 12 API on a PC-exclusive, and it's a true challenge for modern hardware. With hundreds of individual units onscreen in a typical battle, draw calls are very high. We test using the game's Ultra preset (the highest available) and one of the built-in benchmarks, which are accessed by hitting the Advanced button within the Graphics setting. Specifically, we use the 'battle benchmark', which we've found to be more demanding than the others. The results reported come from the game itself.
